Dragonpay Chief-Executive-Officer (CEO) Dick Chiang seeks to make the pie bigger as the rising e-payment platform continue to reach out to a wider, bigger market today.
At the helm of Dragonpay is true visionary Dick Chiang who graduated of Computer Science from Ateneo De Manila University. He also holds an MBA degree from the Babson Graduate School of Business in Wellesley, Massachusetts.
Chiang is also the founding director and the current Vice President of the Digital Commerce Association of the Philippines (DCOM), a trade association composed of various players that make up the Philippine e-commerce industry.
Established in 2010, Dragonpay provides a digital platform that allows merchants, retailers and organizations to accept payments online. At a time of tight competition on financial technology, Dragonpay sees competitors as peers and foe. of Dragonpay’s many payment channels, customers have a variety of options to pay for their goods like at payment counters, through ATMs, mobile wallets or through online bank debit.
With this mindset, the company’s current focus is to make the public more aware and more trusting in the digital payment system thus making the pie bigger. In its eight years as a trailblazer in the local finance technology, Dragonpay has completed over 18 million transactions with 11 million unique users.
